Setup · brokers & VPS

Pick a broker that lets the desk work.

Trade X runs on any MetaTrader 5 broker that allows automated trading. We don't take affiliate kickbacks, so here's straight, vendor-neutral guidance on what actually matters for an AI execution desk.

Choosing a broker

What to check before you fund.

PLATFORM

Genuine MetaTrader 5

You need real MT5 (not a web-only clone) with Expert Advisors and WebRequest allowed. Confirm automated trading is permitted on the account type you open.

EXECUTION

Fast, honest fills

Low slippage and quick execution matter more than a flashy spread headline. Raw/ECN-style accounts with a transparent commission usually beat "zero commission" markups.

COSTS

Tight spreads + clear commission

Look at the all-in cost (spread + commission) on the instruments you'll actually trade — gold and indices behave very differently from majors.

TRUST

Regulation & withdrawals

Prefer a regulated broker with a clean withdrawal record. Your funds stay with the broker — Trade X never touches them.

Running 24/5

Why a VPS helps.

The council reasons on each bar and the risk engine manages trades on every tick — both need your terminal online around the clock. A VPS keeps it running when your laptop is closed.

Low latency to broker
Choose a VPS region close to your broker's servers for faster fills.
24/5 uptime
Markets run while you sleep; the EA should too.
Modest specs are fine
MT5 plus a few EAs is light — 2 vCPU and 4 GB RAM is plenty for most setups.
Stable network
WebRequest calls Trade X — a reliable connection matters more than raw speed.
Snapshots / reboots
Pick a host that restarts cleanly and lets you snapshot your configured terminal.
No kickbacks, no pressure. We deliberately don't list "partner" brokers — pick a regulated MT5 broker you already trust, open a demo, and test Trade X there first.

Three platforms, one account

Trade X is three platforms sharing one login and one subscription. This site explains them; the platforms themselves run at the addresses below. What each one opens for you depends on the plan you hold.

Trade X Charts → trade-x.co — the indicators, strategies and copy-trading automation, plus the education around them. Trade X AI → trade-x.co/ai — read any chart through the indicator suite, run the Risk Supervisor, build strategies in plain English, and send trades to your own MetaTrader terminal. Trade X Quant X → The quant desk: the strategy vault and its measured figures, breeding campaigns, portfolios and the backtester behind them.
